Once again AD Matt Hiserman was a terrific Master of Ceremonies... Celebrating the 5-set thriller over a determined Madison County squad! Smiles were the theme of the evening. The Strasburg Express rolls on - Rams make it 17 straight with victory over Rapp

RAPPAHANNOCK COUNTY - Strasburg improved to 17-1 overall and a perfect 8-0 in the Bull Run by defeating the home standing Panthers Tuesday night by a final score of 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 21-25, 25-11). __________________________________________________________________ Strasburg moves to within two games of completing its fourth straight perfect season in Bull Run play with the victory. The team will look to complete the regular season sweep with a Senior Night home match versus Madison County on Thursday and a road match at Clarke County next Tuesday. _________________________________________________________________ Five seniors will take the court on Thursday night for their final regular season match at home. Stephanie Conde and Jenna Smoot are completing their third season of varsity action while Jacyln Ayers, Ally Kauffman and Meghan Gum finish their second season of play under veteran Coach Suzanne Mathias. _________________________________________________________________ ...

Ram Tough - Strasburg Volleyball continues to roll on

The Senior Class of 2009-2010 is making sure the Ram program remains on track ! ___________________________________________________________________ MADISON - Strasburg pushed its winning streak to 13 matches last night when the Rams defeated Bull Run District foe Madison County 3-1 on the road. The Rams are now 4-0 in BRD play as well as 13-1 overall. The impressive stat of the season is the 40-7 mark in games played. Strasburg returns home Thursday night to face the other undefeated team in the district, Clarke County. Congrats to the Rams on their continued success!

Strasburg-Rapp Volleyball : The College Years / Guy returns for BC

Sorry about the Saved By the Bell reference but one of the more enjoyable events I have covered over the years is Volleyball matches between Rappahannock County and Strasburg . The Panthers and the Rams have played some intense matches and the atmosphere in the gyms have been amazing. Three of the former athletes that participated in the rivalry were on the court at Nininger Hall Wednesday night when Lynchburg College played Bridgewater College. Elena Kritter , Bethany Doman and Katie Baker all made the trip to the Final Four in Richmond back in 2007 and it was fun to watch them compete against each other one more time. Just as it was back in 2007 Kritter ( RAPP ) was on one side of the net while Doman and Baker ( Strasburg ) were on the other. The parents of all three were at Bridgewater as were Mr. & Mrs. Guy from Wilson Memorial. Not only was it pleasant to see everyone again but the level of play in the gym was pretty impressive.
