It's a frigid day here in Carroll County, Virginia but the challenge to Encourage the World, one person at a time marches on ! ASk yourself this one simple question today - is there anything that I can do for someone else to make them smile ?

 When we (Linda and I) tried to create an umbrella 🌂 Organization to cover our 20 years of trying to make the World 🌎 a Better place, we did so with our eyes 👀 wide open.     A couple of years later I have a greater appreciation for EVERYONE that has traveled the path before us and since we started. When you factor in to the equation that we weren't burdened with having to ask people for their $$$$$.       The journey to this point has been one that I won't soon forget and will try to use going forward whenever possible !

Greetings All ! It would appear that the shuffling around with the Websites has been completed and we can get back to business with our two original sites!    We appreciate the patience during the down time. The Home 🏡 site now consists of a Main Page with two buttons. One button will take you to the Carroll County Sports Report while the second button will lead you here now. We are hoping that 2024 will be a year to remember !        

 Notice that I didn't include the N.I.L in the heading as its only fair that if ridiculous amounts of money changes hands that the players get their share.   It's tough for someone who has been a life long fan of the game to accept the changes but accept them I have. The game has transformed to the equivalent of Triple AAA baseball ⚾️ in that its one step below the show now.     One of the headlines from yesterday read that one team had its three top Quarterbacks enter the transfer portal at the same time.     Another one includes a quote saying that getting a top level QB from the portal takes $1 to $2 Million Dollars......     The game has changed in a manner that it more closely resembles the N.F.L but it is what it is. Money 💰🤑💸💲💶 drives everything and there's no better example of that then Top Tier College Football

     ESPN's College GameDay will be live on the Campus of JMU tomorrow at 9:00 am until Noon with the Sun Belt Conference showdown between the Dukes & Appalachian State University getting started at 2pm on ESPN+.    Meanwhile, on the otherside of Afton Mountain ⛰ the Virginia Cavaliers are set to host Duke University in an Atlantic Coast Conference tilt at 3:00 pm.   In years past these two College Football games simply would not warrant a Tale of the Tape comparison but in 2023 they do.   The two stadiums sit just over 50 miles apart and the Home teams operate on different levels of FBS Football 🏈🏈🏈.   How different you ask ? James Madison sits at 10-0 heading into the contest but just lost their latest appeal to have their two year postseason ban lifted in time for a possible New Years Six Bowl invitation. On the flip side of the conversation the Cavaliers and Blue Devils have combined to win eight contests thus far.    But the ...
