Game #9 in the books - Stuarts Draft 34, Waynesboro 7


WAYNESBORO - The Little Giants closed out the home portion of their schedule Friday night by hosting US-340 and Southern Valley District rival Stuarts Draft. The visiting Cougars opened up a 27-0 halftime lead and held on for a 34-7 victory over the home team.

We hit the road for the season finale next Friday night when the Little Giants head up I-81 to Fort Defiance for a battle with the Indians.

Bridgewater College VB - Eagles land #4 seed for ODAC Tourney




BRIDGEWATER COLLEGE VB UPDATE ! & Other smiling faces from Around The Valley in 60 Days










Once again Hollins College will be the site for the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament. Bridgewater College finished in the #4 spot in the final league standings and will take the court at 6:30 P.M. Friday Night. The Lady Eagles will face #5 seed Emory & Henry in the opening round. Former Strasburg Rams Katie Baker & Bethany Doman will be in action as BC once again looks to make some noise in the post season event. Former Wilson Memorial Green Hornet Candice Guy is in her junior year at BC and Erica Dirnagl (Sherando/Stephens City) is finishing her senior year for the Lady Eagles.

Freshman Kala Guy (Wilson Memorial) will take the court for the #6 seed Virginia Wesleyan Lady Marlins.

Strasburg caps regular season with victory over Clarke County

Strasburg completed their fourth straight undefeated Bull Run regular season Tuesday night when they edged Clarke County in Berryville. The final record stands at 19-1 as the squad heads into the Bull Run tournament.
