1 Week closer to Opening NIght !/ Strasburg Book
Another exciting week is in the books and it was quite a week! The sister project to Around The Valley in 60 Days is a book written and designed by my daughter Sabrena, John Galle of the Shenandoah Valley Herald and myself. The book covers the remarkable 28-0 season completed earlier in the school year by the Strasburg Rams volleyball team.
The finished product was ready to be passed out to the coaches, players and parents of the school and with the help of Athletic Director Matt Hiserman and former coach as well as proud parent Judith Smoot, that took place this week.
Head Coach Suzanne Mathias and company will hopefully have a way to remember their journey for years to come. The book is titled "A Season of a Lifetime" and young Mr.Galle added a great recap of the season as well as providing the picture for the cover of the book.
We have all been invited to share in the Strasburg sports banquet on Monday June 2nd and hope to do so before heading off to Warrenton for the Fauquier game.
The board of directors meeting for the Luray Wranglers brought up quite a few interesting questions for the distribution of the VBL passports.I have prided myself on trying to cover each and every angle for the promotion but the Wranglers presented some gaps I will hope to fill between today and the final pre-season owners meeting next week.
