2007 Wrangler Lefty Wayne Dowling & DBU
Former Luray Wrangler (2007) Wayne Dowling is in the middle of a succesful senior campaign back at Dallas Baptist University. The Patriots (30-15) are coming off a victory versus #5 Texas A&M by a 12-6 score on May 1st.
The crafty lefthander from Loveland, Colorodo has appeared in 16 games and has a record of 2-0 with an E.R.A of 3.58. Still working back into his old pitching form following major arm surgery, Dowling has pitched 27.2 innings this season. The stats all look and Wayne reports the arm feels great!
Dallas Baptist has nine regular season games remaining including a three game trip to San Francisco to face the Dons.Three of Dowling's Patriots team mates will be making the trip to Wranglerville this season to play for skipper Mike BoCock. Chris Haney (Freshman catcher), Clay Kelly (Junior outfielder) and Josh Wilson (Freshman outfielder).
Just one question for young Mr. Dowling- whats up with that one error?
