Valley VB : @ Rappahannock County 3, Warren County 0
Made the trip over the mountain to the campus of Rappahannock County High School for the Panthers VB match with the Wildcats of Warren County. This opened up a number of story options and a set of game notes. Linda was there with the camera to see if she could capture some pics of the coaches and players from the two schools. Warren County is coached by Mrs. Cathy Brill (9TH season) and you might recognize the name from our VBL stories this past summer. Cathy is married to Greg Brill who has his hands in a number of projects that include helping Donna Settle run the Front Royal Cardinals.
Greg also writes for the Winchester Star and that was the case tonight as he was covering the Clarke County VB match. You can check out Greg's gamer later tonight at http://www.winchesterstar.com/ .

I also had the chance to visit with Mr. & Mrs. Kritter who were there to help out 2ND year Head Coach Scott Wilde. Mr. Kritter helps Scott coach the varsity team as well as helping out with the Middle School program. The middle of the three Kritter daughters, Danika, is a sophomore playing her second season of varsity VB. Elena Kritter graduated last year and we will have an update on her progress down at Lynchburg College.
________________John Galle (Shenandoah Valley Herald) and Bill Meade (Page News nad Corier) were up at Strasburg to cover the Page County - Strasburg rematch and I hope one of them has the time to send on some notes later. I do know that Strasburg defeated Page County 3-0 to improve their mark to 5-2. The Rams will play both of their Shenandoah County rivals next week on the road. Tuesday 9/16 @ Central and Thursday 9/18 @ Stonewall Jackson.
