A Rebel-Wrangler Classic: Luray 6-5 in 11 innings

What a bad night for hard working Doug down at Future Media to have technical difficulties that prevented any of the 5 VBL games to be broad casted. The gremlins that have been playing havoc with numerous things connected to the VBL were at it again. The problems were not in relationship to Doug or his end but a number of Web Cast listeners were left in the dark. I hope he gets everything worked out by tomorrow night.
I can let you know that General Sign Guy Mike reported in @ 10:39 p.m. to let us know that his Waynesboro team defeated Covington 7-3 and we had a report from Winchester that the Royals defeated the Fauquier Gators by a final score of 3-0. Winchester exploded last night in their win over H'Burg and tonight they improved the best record in the league with pitching and stellar defense.
In Luray, the Battle for the Mountain lived up to the pre game hype and then some! The boys needed 11 innings to declare a winner and for the second straight time it was Luray by a run. There was plenty of action to report and photos to share but first I will go in search of the other two final scores and begin to prep for work.
The Around the Valley in 60 Days campaign had a banner day at the park. Three very dedicated baseball fans picked up stamps at Bulldog Field!

Mr. Bruce Alger #11 of 12
Mrs.Linda Carter # 9 of 12
Mrs. Melissa Dodge # 8 of 12

Very exciting stuff for us here at the promotion headquarters! I will be back after a short break.

I got reports from the fans at the game because I was having problems listening to the radio after the third inning. Waynesboro won 7-3 over Covington after scoring 4 runs in the 1st inning with back to back RBI Doubles from Evan Webb and Ryan Adams. They scored another 2 runs in the 3rd. Covington scored 2 more runs in the 8th but fell short and left people stranded in the 8th. Jared Dobbs was the winning pitcher, no report on the losing pitcher. Dobbs pitched 6 inn,1R,4H,1BB,6K which I was told. Tommorrow now a battle with another 9-5 team in Fauquier.

Other scores I did catch from TV3 was Staunton 7-2 over Haymarket and Woodstock 1-0 over Harrisonburg.

Congrats to the ones that are getting very close to filling out all their stamps, I wish I could be there tonight in New Market for the Generals-Rebels game but I know some Generals fans will be there and keep me updated. I will now the way it looks being going to see Luray-New Market on July 1. Great pics there from the game and also the story about the gas mileage. I am excited for the 4 road games for the Generals starting on Monday.
