Mixing UVA Hoops and VBL Connections...

The passion of choice here during the winter months is Basketball! All levels of Basketball from the High School gyms to the 40+ Colleges that play here in the Old Dominion. We just received our season ticket information and 2008-2009 schedule for the University of Virginia Cavilers and wanted to have some VBL fun with it.

Including the exhibition game against Sheppard, the Hoos will take the court at JPJ Arena a total of 18 times. As I list the home dates and opponents see if you can add a player from the VBL's 2008 roster that attends that school. I will toss out a couple/few to get the ball rolling as I continue for ways to bring the VBL into another conversation...

Home Schedule for the Hoos:
Sunday - November 9TH vs. Sheppard (Exibition) (Matt McCarty- Front Royal)
Sunday - November 16TH vs. Virginia Military Institute (Travis Smink- Luray)

Amazing connections Jerry and I am going to about 8 of the 18 games there in the regular season. Even thou UVA doesn't face Duke at home this year, I know they are at Duke in February which is Gabriel Saade's school.

You should do this also when UVA baseball's schedule comes out, and the same for JMU because I think both teams schedules might have teams with former players coming and also future players. I am hoping that College of Charleston and Elon comes to face either the Hoos or the Dukes.
