O.K.- Just one more post for the day...Sean Singletary
I have enjoyed going to the JPJ over in Charlottesville and before that over at U-Hall to watch young Sean Singletary play basketball for the UVA Cavilers. Someone asked me the other day how I felt Sean would do at the next level and I responded with "He will be solid if he ends up in the right situation". I was a fan of the young man for the way he handled himself of the court just as much I was of his playing ability.
The only interest I had in the NBA draft was to see if Sean was taken in the second round as I was thrilled to see that he was in the 42ND slot (RD-2,Pick-12) by Sacremento. The slot originally belonged to the Atlanta Hawks but after a trade in the past (I think it was the Mike Bibby deal) it belonged to the Kings.
Whether or not Sean shines in the NBA I will always remember of he thrilled the crowds while wearing #44 for the Cavs!
To give equal time to the Hokie fans around the valley I should add that Deron Washington was taken with the 59TH pick by the Detroit Pistons. Washington played a huge roll in turning around the Hokies program under the direction of Head Coach Seth Greenberg.
Congrats to both players and Good Luck in the NBA
