Just finished the Sunday Post delivery and then first thing I did was check the VBL web site and I noticed only one final score posted so I will start off with just the scores for the more serious baseball fans then describe some of the adventures from Saturday night.
Here we go-
@ Covington 15 over Winchester 4- The two teams entered the night with identical W-L marks but the Lumberjacks took advantage of some home cooking in their attempt to keep Waynesboro within sight in the Southern Division.
Luray 5 @ Front Royal 4 (10 innings)- Wranglers move out to VBL best 26-10 with 8 games remaining but the Cards made them work for it at the Bing.
@ Staunton 5 over Woodstock 1- Braves GM Steve Cox was kind enough to share this score with us as Staunton makes it two straight after tough loss to Luray earlier in the week.
@Haymarket 4 over Harrisonburg 1- Mrs.Turks reported the final to us despite the outcome not going her way. The game was a pitchers duel most of the way and the Senators picked up a much needed victory as they look to secure one of the two final playoff berths.
Waynesboro 6 @ Fauquier 2- Generals Sign Guy Mike shared the score and also sent in a gamer that Rebecca will post after she gets back from visiting her sister down in Lynchburg.
Where does that leave everyone as we head into the final week of the season:
In the playoffs:
Luray 26-10 (8 left)
Waynesboro 26-11 (7 left)
Fauquier 22-14 (8 left)
Covington 21-16 (7 left)
Staunton 21-17 (6 left)
ON THE VERGE:
Winchester 20-17 (7 Left)
In search of the final two spots:

10.New Market 12-25 (7 Left) 2& 1/2 games back
