One more round of applause for Buck and Jacob Smith from our new friend Kip at the Warren Sentinel
And it reads:
"
Buck Smith and his 11-year-old son Jacob recently finished their Around the Valley in 60 Days tour of all the Valley Baseball League ballparks. The duo actually accomplished the feat of visiting all 11 teams in less than 30 days and last Friday the father-and-son team threw out the first pitch during the Front Royal Cardinals game at Bing Crosby Stadium. Smith, the former athletic director of Warren County High School and current Warren County Public Schools Activities Director said the trek was an eye opening experience for him. "Jacob knew the purpose of the experience before I did," Smith wrote on promoter Jerry Carter's Around the Valley in 60 Days website. "It wasn't a conquest to conquer the valley in 60 days, but rather an opportunity to spend time with his dad." Way to go Buck and Jacob, and to Jerry Carter for his sentimental and fabulous idea.
WAY COOL ALL THE WAY AROUND (AROUND THE VALLEY-THAT IS)
