Now for the rest of the story: Haymarket

All the stores have been collected so I will try and finish out the top5 from our visit up to Haymarket / Sunday night! #5.- This one actually happened after we got back home. I found a message/posting left by Bobby McGrath III. We had met Bobby for the first time the other night in Winchester and it took a couple of days to finish the story. We have come to expect that we had friends coming in and that carried over to others. But when you meet people for the first time you are not always sure how much they will think about the conversation after the end of the night. Bobby had followed up on our visit and took the time to share his thoughts on the evening in Winchester. This means a lot to me (even more so that he liked the recap), because this day and age where everyone is so busy, what impressed me the most was Bobby taking the time to check back in. Thanks again! #4.- Catfish Lewie's and the Senators- I grew up in a world where bartering came second nature. Now that the econo...

Lefty John Lloyd and Radford advance in Big South play!

Eric Evans took the mound for #6 seed Radford University(23-30) yesterday in Danville, Va. as the Highlanders opened play in the Big South Tourney against #7 seed Charleston Southern. Evans dominated the game for 8.1 innings before giving the ball to teammate John Lloyd. Llyod was not eligible for a save as Radford led 6-1 but that didn't keep the junior from recording two quick outs (1 ground out, 1 KO) to close out the contest. I am not sure if Mr.Lloyd was there for the contest but I am sure Dad is proud either way. Radford advances to the double-elimination portion of the tourney and will face either #1 Coastal Carolina or #2 Liberty University next in Danville. Big South play continues today and you should go to http://www.bigsouthsports.com/ for more tourney highlights!

Great Baseball news for the Lloyd Family

I just received some great news from Friend of the Promotion John Llyod. John works for USA-Today and are history goes back a little over two years. John has always been 1st in line whenever we were in need of promo items and has been a backer of Crystal Clear Delivery since the early days. John has a love for baseball that runs in his family and his son John is pitching in the Big South Conference for Radford University again this season. For the past 3 years John and his family have made the trip from Northern Virginia down I-81 as often as possible to see their son pitch for the Highlanders and the junior had a HUGE week this past week that did not go un-noticed. The 6'3 lefty was named Big South pitcher of the week for his efforts and I have made an attempt to include the link to the story for everyone to see! Congrats to both John Sr. and John Jr. (Westfield High- Oak Hill, Va.). Lets see if I can get the link correct... click here !
