I want to start out by saying that while I stayed away from doing a great deal of guessing I never envisioned 50 people making to the ATV-60 Finish Line! I had ordered some inspirational coffee mugs to award as one last bonus prize to the two teams that showed the greatest support in the program and 1ST Place was a run-a-way as Harrisonburg finished with 18 Loopsters ! Each of the Turkoopsters were awarded a Crystal Clear Delivery Coffee mug at their playoff game at Luray the other night. The second highest total went to the efforts of the Luray Wranglers/ATV-60 Staff that claimed 10 of the 32 remaining spots. These folks were also awarded their YES I CAN/ CCD coffee mugs at Bulldog Field back on Tuesday night. The most pleasant surprise was the 3 finishers from Haymarket ! We are trying to finalize the order for the 50 Wind Breakers for the ATV-60 Loopsters and we are in search of a little help. Here is what I can tell you for sure- The company we are dealing with has the following sizes to choose from: (All Adult-Male) - Extra Small -Small -Medium -Large -1X -2X -3X -4X We have received a jacket size from most of the finishers but we will need to convert some of the sizes over to match their chart. The jacket will be a pull over Windbreaker and after a great deal of discussion with the folks here as to what will make the logo look the best, the color will be khaki. The back will consist of the Around The Valley logo and on the front will be two smaller logo's- 1 of the VBL and the 2ND of your favorite team. Info from the Royals! The Royals defeated Staunton 8-3 Wednesday night a Moxie Stadium to force game three Thursday at Bridgeforth field. The Braves broke out early by scoring three in the first inning an home runs by Max Most and Blake Mcdade of Royals starter Taylor Hill. Hill settled down and gave up no runs on one hit thru the 5 th to get the win. Chris Rigo pitched the last 4 innings allowing no runs on 3 hits while striking out 5. The Royals were held hit less thru five innings by Braves starter Gerard Sokolis . The Royals broke thru in the 6 th by scoring 4 runs on four hits. Aaron Dudley's bases loaded single was the big hit of the inning as all runners scored after a throwing error by the Braves. Dudley scored on Galbraiiths fly out to center. I wanted to post a few quick notes from the one series that will not be needing a 3RD game on Thursday night. Covington swept Fauquier 2-0 on the strength of a 9-1 victory that was also delayed by a rain storm. When I met (Grandfather) Mr. Sizemore up in Haymarket he noticed me running around trying to share score with everyone that might need them. He thanked me for taking the time to do that and mentioned that it really helps fans & family from out of town (in this case-Jacksonville,Fl) to keep up with the VBL .
