Working the schedule hard from here to the end- Trying to make it every 1ST pitch ceremony

Today is Day 41 of the season and it is time to try and take a look at the possibility of continuing to make the trip to as many of the 1ST pitch ceremonies as possible....

Day 41- Thursday July 10TH- Luray Home Game vs. Harrisonburg (PA)

Day 42- Friday July 11TH- Hoping to spend the evening in Front Royal (?)

Day 43-Saturday July 12TH-Luray Home Game vs. Fauquier (PA)

Day 44- Sunday July 13TH- New Market Home Game (Web) vs. Winchester
*** Possible Melissa and Noah Dodge Celebration

Day 45- Monday July 14TH- The streak will be put in jeopardy- Only game on the slate as of now is Harrisonburg @ Covington

Day 46- Tuesday July 15TH- The exibition Double Header at Bulldog Field with Waynesboro, Luray and #1 in the country Vienna !

Day 47- Wednesday July 16TH-Luray off / New Market on road/Open to head where needed

Day 48- Thursday July 17TH- Luray (PA) @ Home vs. Staunton

Day 49- Friday July 18TH- ** Luray @ Home vs. New Market (Battle for the Mountain)

Day 50- Saturday July 19TH- Luray @ Front Royal / New Market off - can travel anywhere

Day 51- Sunday July 20TH- Haymarket @ Luray (PA)

Day 52- Monday July 21ST- Final VBL Rain Date

Then we head into the final week of the season-----

Central High School - Coach Jerry Walters & The Falcons Family Tree- Pics 1ST

After spending a couple of hours with Mr. John Galle of the Shenandoah Valley Herald in Woodstock I made the two mile drive over to Central High School. The Lady Falcons were playing Broadway and one thing you can always count on at Central is the chance to visit with some folks that will make you feel right at home. Tonight was no different, except the opportunity to trade stories with none other than Valley Coaching Legend Jerry Walters. On our site Jerry is also known as Jeff''s Dad but for tonight we will call him Coach. Coach spent 34 years working the sidelines at Central until his retirement following the 2004-2005 campaign. While I have known Coach for a few years, it wasn't until Thursday night that I was able to spend what I would call one on one plus time. See, Coach is a magnet to folks in the gym and each one of them brings another couple of stories to the forefront.
