A strange night in the Crows Nest...

I called a Rebel-Wrangler game and a funny thing happened.... A blow out occurred. The first two games in the series were dramatic 1 run victories (Both for Luray) but New Market took the late innings suspense out of this one. Ross Fetterly and the bullpen truely scattered 10 hits and Fetterly pitched in and out of trouble all night.
Luray starter Alex Wimmers pitched great until the 6TH inning and the Rebels took charge against the Wrangler relievers. Jeff Jefferson (4 for 4) did what he could for Luray but Kevin Dietrich (UNC-Pembroke) and Michael Mooney (Florida) plated 2 runs each to lead the way for the home team....

Notes from the game- Craig Juer (NVD) was down for the game and it was good to visit with him and Damon Dillman (TV-3) before the game. You can catch Craig's gamer at www.nvdaily.com and you can see Damon nightly on the Channel 3 Sports. Damon did a segment about the Around The Valley in 60 Days that will air in the next few days and we are grateful as always for the pub! Mike (Generals) was up for the game and he has now moved to 11 of 12 on the passport with only a trip to Fauquier left to complete the road trip....
