Update on Alex Jones (Covington) / Cory Johnson (Luray)

The last check of the stat box that Kevin & company work so hard to prepare for all of us shows a couple of tidbits. I mentioned hearing from the Jones family and that there son is pitching for the Lumberjacks this season.

Alex has came out of the bullpen 4 times for Covington and recorded 6.1 innings of relief work. His record is 0-0 and his ERA stands at 2.84. We will do our best to keep an eye on this young man and yes we will do that for any parents that check in with the site! Keep up the good work Alex.

Cory Johnson- Catcher- Luray (South Florida)- Due to traveling around the Valley I have seen a limited number of Luray games but I have seen all 3 of this young man's home runs. Cory connected for the third time last night against Harrisonburg. He (LHB) turned on a inside pitch and ripped a shot down the right field line for HR-#3. He does more than hit for power as he leads the Wranglers in hits (10) and average (.370) over the first 10 games.
I went in search of more info on this young man and stumbled across some interesting tidbits.
