Luray earns trip back to Bulldog Field with 8-1 victory over Harrisonburg Turks

The #2 seed Luray Wranglers won in convincing fashion Wednesday night as they defeated both the host Harrisonburg Turks and Mother Nature, waiting out a weather delay and winning by a score of 8-1.
One night after dropping the opener of the best 2 of 3 series at home 7-2, Luray returned to their heavy hitting ways and sent another one of their aces to the mound. Drew Rucinski (Ohio State) and Alex Wiener (Wake Forrest) teamed up to limit the Turks to five base hits for the night.
Heavy hitting Austin Markel (West Virginia) hit a pair of Home Runs to lead the offense for Skipper Mike Bocock and force a deciding game 3 back at Bulldog Field on Thursday night at 7:30 PM.
B.J Wheeler (Oklahoma City) accounted for the Turks run in the 8TH inning when he connected for the Turks sixth Home Run in the series. The rain delay came during the 6TH inning and we received help on these notes from G-S-G Mike, Wrangler GM Diane Buckley and the Turks Web Site. I am sure the DNR was covering the game and you can read more about it at www.dnronline.com
